We collect information about you in three ways: directly from your input, from third-party sources, and through automated technologies.

you provide to us:
The types of personal information that we collect directly from you depends on the content and features of the Service you use and how you otherwise interact with us and may include:
Contact details, such as your name, email address, postal address, phone number and social media handle;
Account login credentials, such as usernames and passwords, password hints and similar security information;
Other account registration and profile information, including educational, professional and other background information, such as your field of study, current position, practice area and areas of interests, gender, ORCID ID and photo;
Content that you upload and share or store in your account, such as annotations, comments, contributions and replies;
Payment information, such as a credit or debit card number, and government-issued ID numbers;
Information that you communicate to us, such as questions or information you send to customer support;
Data that you provide to us as part of interacting with the Service, such as your favorites and search queries; and/or
Communications preferences, such as the frequency, type and format of the alerts you sign up to receive.
Device and usage data:
The Service may automatically collect information about how you and your device interact with the Service, such as:
Computer, device and connection information, such as IP address, browser type and version, operating system and other software installed on your device, unique device identifier and other technical identifiers, error reports and performance data;
Usage data, such as the features you used, the settings you selected, URL clickstream data, including date and time stamp and referring and exit pages, and pages you visited on the Service;
For location-aware Services, the physical location of your device.
We collect this data through our servers and the use of cookies and other technologies. You can control cookies through your browser's settings and other tools. How we use your information:

Legal reasons
We will disclose your personal information if we have a good faith belief that such disclosure is necessary to:

Detect, investigate and help prevent security, fraud or technical issues; and/or
Protect the rights, property or safety of Wall Street Scholars, our users, employees or others;

Keeping such information up to date is solely the responsibility of the user. To protect your privacy and security, we may require you to verify your identity. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf subject to proof of identity and authorization.
Data retention
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Service and fulfill the transactions you have requested, or for other essential purposes such as complying with our legal obligations, maintaining business and financial records, resolving disputes, maintaining security, detecting and preventing fraud and abuse, and enforcing our agreements.
Data security:
We take precautions to safeguard your personal information against loss, theft and misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction through the use of appropriate technical and organizational measures.
Locations of processing:
Your personal information may be stored and processed in your region or an other country where Wall Street Scholars companies and their service providers maintain servers and facilities. We take steps, including through contracts, to ensure that the information continues to be protected wherever it is located in a manner consistent with the standards of protection required under applicable law.
Grounds for processing:
When we process any personal information within the scope of certain privacy and data protection laws, we do so:
Where necessary to provide the Service, fulfill a transaction or otherwise perform a contract with you or at your request prior to entering into a contract;
Where necessary for our compliance with applicable law or other legal obligation;

1.About this Privacy Notice
Pursuantto the California Consumer Privacy Act, Colorado Privacy Act, Connecticut DataPrivacy Act, Utah Consumer Privacy Act and Virginia Consumer Data ProtectionAct (collectively, “U.S. Consumer Privacy Laws”), Wall Street Scholars and itsaffiliates in scope of the U.S. Consumer Privacy Laws (“we,” “us” or “our”) areproviding this U.S. Consumer Privacy Notice (“Notice”). This Notice supplementsour Privacy Policy (see attached). Terms used but not definedshall have the meanings ascribed to them in the applicable U.S. ConsumerPrivacy Laws. This Notice does not apply to personal information that weprocess on behalf of our customers or that we collect from job applicants,contractors, or employees.

Commercialinformation, such as transaction information, purchase history, financialdetails, and payment information.
Internetor other electronic network activity information, such as browsing history,search history, online behavior, interest data, and interactions with our andother websites, applications, systems, and advertisements.
Geolocationdata, such as approximate device location.
Audio,electronic, visual, and similar information, such as images and audio,video, or call recordings created in connection with our business activities.
Professionalor employment-related information, such as job title, work history, andexperience.
Inferencesdrawn from any of the personal information listed above to create a profile orsummary about, for example, a consumer’s preferences and characteristics.
Sensitivepersonal information, such as personal information that reveals a user’saccount log-in and password.
We collectthis personal information from you and from other categories of sources suchas: public and publicly available sources; our third-party resellers andreferral partners, data suppliers and service providers; partners with which weengage in joint event or marketing activities; social networks; news outletsand related media; and the organization with which you are employed oraffiliated.

We may sharefor purposes of cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising withadvertising networks, internet service providers, data analytics providers,operating systems and platforms, and social networks each of the followingcategories of personal information:
Identifierssuch as online identifier, Internet Protocol address, and other similaridentifiers.
Internetor other electronic network activity information, such as browsing history,online behavior, interest data, and interactions with our andother websites, applications, systems, and advertisements.
Geolocationdata, such as approximate device location.
Inferencesdrawn from any of the personal information listed above to create a profile orsummary about, for example, a consumer’s preferences and characteristics.
5.Retention
We retainyour personal information for as long as necessary to provide our products andservices to you and fulfill the transactions you have requested, or for otheressential purposes such as complying with our legal obligations, maintainingbusiness and financial records, resolving disputes, maintaining security,detecting, and preventing fraud and abuse, and enforcing our agreements. Thecriteria used to determine retention periods includes the legal limitation ofliability period, agreed contractual provisions, applicable regulatoryrequirements, and industry standards.
6. ConsumerRights and Requests
If you area California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah or Virginia resident:
Rightto Know. You mayrequest to know whether we process your personal information and to access suchpersonal information.
Inaddition, if you are a California resident, you may request that we disclose toyou the following information as required by law: (i) the categories ofpersonal information we collected about you and the categories of sources fromwhich we collected such information; (ii) the business or commercial purposefor collecting or sharing personal information about you; (iii) the categoriesof personal information about you that we shared and the categories of thirdparties to whom we shared such information; and (iv) the categories ofpersonal information about you that we otherwise disclosed, and the categoriesof third parties to whom we disclosed such personal information.
You mayrequest to receive a copy of your personal information, including specificpieces of personal information, including, where applicable, to obtain a copyof your personal information in a portable, readily usable format.
Rightto Delete. You mayrequest that we delete your personal information, subject to certainexceptions. If you are a California resident, this applies to personalinformation we collected from you.
Rightto Correct. Youmay request to correct inaccuracies in your personal information.
Rightto Opt-Out. Youmay request that we do not share your personal information for cross-contextualbehavioral advertising or targeted advertising by utilizing the “CookieSettings” link on our websites that use tracking technologies for such purposesor by sending an opt-out preference signal supported by your device or browser.Your use of an opt-out preference signal will apply only to your device orbrowser and not to other personal information that is not linked to your deviceor browser.
Inaddition, if you are a Colorado, Connecticut, Utah or Virginia resident, youmay request to opt out of the processing of your personal information forpurposes of profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal orsimilarly significant effects concerning you.
RightNot to Receive Discriminatory Treatment. We will not unlawfully discriminate against youbecause you exercise any of your rights under the U.S. Consumer Privacy Laws.

You may berequired to submit proof of your identity for certain of these requests to beprocessed. Such information may include your name, address, date of birth andgovernment ID. This information will be used only for the purposesof verifying your identity and processing your request. We may not be ableto comply with your request if we are unable to confirm your identity or toconnect the information you submit in your request with personal information inour possession.
You maydesignate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf subject to proofof identity and written authorizations required under the applicable U.S.Consumer Privacy Laws. Requests made through an authorized agent should bemade to us via our website. As part of our verification process, we may requestthat the agent provide, as applicable, proof concerning his or her status as anauthorized agent. In addition, we may require that you verify your identity asdescribed above or confirm that you provided the agent permission to submit therequest.
We willrespond to your request consistent with applicable law. If you are a Virginiaresident and we refuse to take action on your request, you may appeal thisrefusal within a reasonable period after your receipt of the decision bysubmitting a request for appeal via our website.
8. Notice of Financial Incentives
We do not offerfinancial incentives, including price or service differences, to consumers inexchange for the collection, retention, sale or sharing of their personalinformation.
9. De-Identified Information
Where wemaintain or use de-identified data, we will continue to maintain and use thede-identified data only in a de-identified fashion and will not attempt tore-identify the data.
